On this first Sunday in Advent we learn of God’s faithfulness in calling us to faith in Christ, confirming us as His gifted servants, and in His promise to commend us as His own for all eternity at the second coming of Christ. Being open to God’s long term solutions to our problems and fears is our response to a loving God who has a long term plan for our lives. The text for this message is I Corinthians 1:3-9.
